The Phoenix Community Band is one of the youngest civilian concert bands in the United States, and has been very well received by their audiences at their performances. The popularity of the band grows throughout the Central New York region, as evidenced by the support of the many enthusiastic listeners who attends its performances. The band is constantly asked to perform for local and regional events.

The Phoenix Community Band's repertoire consists of music ranging from classic concert band marches to contemporary arrangements of both jazz and rock-n-roll. Whether performing a formal concert or holiday concert with the John C. Birdlebough High School Ensembles, the Phoenix Community Concert Band is committed to its mission of preserviing the cultural heritage and musical traditions of the American concert band.

We are always interested in new members. We rehearse Monday nights at EJD Middle School from 6:45 - 8:45PM. If you are interested in joining us, please email Janet Rosenberg, our Personnel Director, at jrosen@twcny.rr.com.
